ALLERGAN® Facial Anatomy App

Rather than promote Allergan products directly, the Beneath The Skin of Beautyapp "serves" rather than "sells." The idea was to create something that would serve the needs of patients and help increase the facial aesthetics HCPs' bottom line.

This iPad application gives physicians an easy-to-use tool to interact with a patient's facial anatomy and effectively talk about recommended services. Secondly, it includes a resource section where HCPs can see proper injection techniques for Botox and Juvéderm fillers by viewing helpful "how to" videos.

In the app, the physician is able to control the view of various facial anatomy layers. They have the ability to peel back skin, muscle, vein, nerve, and bone layers, or can view these layers through the one-touch navigation feature. The Facial Anatomy App can rotate the face to provide a full-range view during patient consultations. In addition, the physician can draw on the screen to map out injection areas for optimal cosmetic effect.

Feedback from the Allergan Sales Team and from facial aesthetics HCPs have been overwhelmingly positive and supportive. An expanded Phase 2 of the app is currently in development.
