ROGERS® Connected Rep App
The brand:
Rogers is Canada’s largest supplier of Wireless, Cable TV, Hi-Speed Internet, and Home Phone services for home and business.
The challenge:
Rogers was looking to increase premium cable TV package sales with new and existing cable customers.
The insight:
Through both customer and sales rep research, we found that the key decision point for customers to choose a premium package was during the sales rep telephone call. We also had data showing that the better the sales reps were educated on the premium package, the higher their premium sales numbers were.
Our solution:
We re-imagined what sales rep education looked like by eliminated the need for random emails, memos, and online searches, while introducing an always up-to-date, track able, and convenient new point of contact between Rogers and their sales reps. We gave each telephone sales rep a Samsung Galaxy tablet loaded with a custom built app called Connected Rep. The app put all of Rogers premium cable content a simple tap away. The app featured close to 300 video overviews that explained in detail each premium channel and theme pack. Connected Rep also included up to date pricing, promotions, detailed hardware pictures and descriptions, all at the finger tips of the sales reps while they are on a sales call or sitting in their house after work.
The Connected Rep app contains:
- Over 300 searchable overview video clips of each premium channel and theme packs
- Complete cable package details and up to date promotions
- Hi resolution 360˚ pictures of each piece of hardware
- Hi resolution version of Rogers internal brand magazine
- Ability for sales reps to push info to consumers via e-mail
- Analytics to measure sales rep usages
- On Demand and Pay Per View content
The results:
The ConnectedRep app was an overwhelming success. Sale reps that were given the Connected Rep app delivered an impressive 35.4% increase of Premium Package sales versus sale reps without the app. The app also created a new track-able point of contact for Rogers to continue to optimize their future sales efforts.
It's a perfect example of digital creative that works.
